Lord's Acre Fall Festival

In 1996, First Methodist Church of Mabank inaugurated its Lord’s Acre Harvest/Fall Festival, based on the successful model developed by the Crowley Texas Methodist church. In October 2024, we celebrated our 29th Annual Lord’s Acre Fall Festival!

Since 1996, we have raised more than $569,000 to support our Youth and Children's Ministries and Missions. Lord’s Acre funds have made it possible for two staff members to be in charge of such ministries, which have taken our young people on life-changing mission trips to sites in Texas and areas of service in the US, Mexico, and Honduras.

God has truly blessed us!

But Lord’s Acre is more than just a fundraiser for our Children and Youth Ministries. It is a vital part of the Spirit of our congregation. EVERYONE—whether 9 or 90 years old—participates in some way in preparing for and operating the festival. Perhaps more than anything else we do all year, this annual event brings our entire church family together as One Body of service in Christ’s love.

It’s fun, inspiring, and a great way to get to know other church members — it’s the church in action!
